A dry construction system uses pre-finished materials, assembled on the construction site, to realize the whole building or just one part of it. Conceptually defined by an outer cover, a static structure and an internal cover, is the positive response to the acoustic, thermal, hygrothermal, fire-retardant and anti-seismic needs. The reasons for choosing the construction system S/C (structure/coating) are lower costs of materials, constructive operation, flexibility and cost-effectiveness of the management as well as the durability.

Structure and Coating

The reasons that led us to the choice of the dry construction system, structure coating (S/C), are diverse, important and economically advantageous either for the materials, constructive effectivity, flexibilty or for the cost-effectiveness of their management, durability, positive response to the acoustic, thermal, hygrothermal, fire-retardant and anti-seismic needs.

The dry construction system:

Realizes the building using pre-finished materials, factory products that get assembled on the building site and can be used for the realization of the whole building or , in another version, just one part of it. Conceptually defined by an external cover- a static structure, and an internal desolidarised cover, a valid response to all the needs defined by the physics of living. Proving the validity of its use, the S/C system is now being applied to all of the advanced service buildings, such as some really striking hospitals, multifunctional skyscrapers, hotels, schools etc.


All of the materials being used correspond to the characteristics of ecology, projected for a life cycle up to their final disassembling low-cost recycling process. An infinite variety of components enables the use of combinations of various materials, so as to give to each point the requested design value.

Constructive operation:

The site no longer produces components but becomes the place for assembling the pieces produced in the factory. These pieces have the measures and qualities of a precise production cycle. This type of an organized assembly brings about order and cleanliness which reduces the risk of misfortunes on the site. Without the obligatory waiting breaks, the work cycle on the site becomes faster and more effective.


The construction system characterized by the reversible connections can, within certain limits, undergo some variations, especially for the installations in the gaps of the internal cover or in the aesthetic or functional form. In the course of the years, the operation technique S/C allows simple and low-cost interventions for eventual adaptation of the (class)rooms and offices also functioning in a designing process with a continuous evolution. In these cases the speed of the intervention , remembering its importance, reduces the downtime.

Cost-effectiveness of the management:

The savings in the management are mainly a result of the afidability of the thermic isolation which represent the flagship among dry technologies. The controlled stratification, the absence of non-isolable parasitic volumes, control of the thermic conduction and convection flows allow with the use of thermoreflective iperisolants also the control of the radiant flow, with insulating systems of this kind. With the isolation systems of this type, there have been reached the values calculated with the house climate protocol of less than 10 kWh/m2 per year. According to the analysis, from a general economic point of view, there is an evident decrease of extra-costs already within the first year of the use.

Durability and Health:

The durability of the building components is a requisite that indicates the behaviour of the building components in time and is defined by the norm UNI 11156, “ Evaluation of the durability of the building components”, like the capacity to perform the required functions during a specific period of time, under the influence of the expected agents in operation. The performance tendency of the component under discussion related to the requirement of its durability is being deduced form the knowledge of its duration, life in use, accompanied by the reliability of the component itself, which represents the probability that the technical element functions without failing in the period of time strating from the time zero, when the component is installed and put into operation, until the time when the life in use of the components comes to an end…

The characteristic of the components of the S/C system of being realized in a factory is that of having continuos qualitative controls. This will guarantee that the producer can easily put together the controllers and certified operative professionals. Apart from that, the steel, non being the conductor of humidity guarantees healthy environments without the so called “sponge effect”.
The dry solutions using steel do not need maintenance interventions and treatments to which the profiles are normally subjugated, but guarantee the anti-corrosion effect and the following durability of the building.
